Welcome to Suvisesha Doothan, operated by the Mar Thoma Evangelistic Association. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the website suviseshadoothan.com, your user account, digital publications, subscription services, payment facilities and other services made available through the website.
By accessing the website, creating an account, purchasing a subscription or using any of our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the website or purchase a subscription.
1. Our Services
Suvisesha Doothan provides access to digital publications, magazines, archives and related religious and informational content. Certain publications or sections of the website may be available only to users with an active subscription. Features, publications and services may be updated from time to time.
2. User Registration
Users may be required to create an account to subscribe to or access protected publications. You agree to provide complete, accurate and current information while registering. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activity carried out through your account.
You must not share, sell, transfer or permit unauthorised persons to use your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, contact us immediately at suviseshadoothan@gmail.com.
3. Eligibility
You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable Indian law. Where a person below the legally applicable age uses the service, the involvement or consent of a parent or lawful guardian may be required.
4. Subscriptions
The subscription plans currently available will be displayed on the website together with their applicable price and duration. A subscription becomes active only after the payment has been successfully received and verified, or after it has been manually approved by an authorised administrator where an approved manual payment method is available.
Subscription access continues for the period applicable to the selected plan. Purchase of a subscription does not give the subscriber ownership of any publication or intellectual property contained on the website.
5. Pricing and Payments
All subscription charges are displayed in Indian Rupees unless otherwise stated. Applicable taxes, payment charges or other statutory charges, if any, will be disclosed where required.
Online payments may be processed through authorised third-party payment gateways. Suvisesha Doothan does not intentionally store complete credit card, debit card or other sensitive payment-card credentials on its own website. A transaction is considered successful only after confirmation is received from the applicable payment system.
6. Digital Publication Access
Digital publications supplied through the website are provided for the subscriber’s personal and lawful use. Unless expressly permitted, users must not reproduce, redistribute, publish, upload, sell or commercially exploit publications; share protected PDF files, reader links or account credentials; attempt to bypass subscription or reader security; copy or systematically extract substantial portions of protected publications; or interfere with, reverse engineer or attempt unauthorised access to the website or its systems.
Reasonable restrictions may be applied to printing, downloading or direct access to protected publication files.
7. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the publications, website design, text, graphics, photographs, logos, trademarks, digital files and other materials available through Suvisesha Doothan are owned by or licensed to their respective copyright holders. Access to a publication does not transfer copyright or any other intellectual-property rights to the subscriber.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the website for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or malicious purposes. You must not introduce malware, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with website security or use automated systems to extract protected content without permission.
9. Availability of the Service
We aim to keep the website and digital reader reasonably available. Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, server issues, internet failures, payment-gateway problems, security updates or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Where an access problem is reported, we will make reasonable efforts to restore the service.
10. Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or restrict an account where there is reasonable evidence of fraud, unauthorised account sharing, payment abuse, attempted security circumvention, misuse of protected publications or violation of these Terms. Where appropriate, the user may be contacted before permanent account action is taken.
Nothing in this section limits any rights available to a consumer under applicable Indian law.
11. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable law.
12. Communications
By registering or subscribing, you agree that we may send service-related communications such as account verification, payment confirmation, subscription status, password-reset messages, important publication updates and administrative notices. Promotional communications, where applicable, will be handled in accordance with applicable law and your available preferences.
13. Privacy
Personal information collected through this website is handled according to our Privacy Policy.
14. Third-Party Services
The website may use third-party services such as hosting providers, payment gateways, email delivery providers or other technical service providers. Such third parties may have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for independent services outside our reasonable control.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Suvisesha Doothan and the Mar Thoma Evangelistic Association will not be responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising solely from temporary technical interruptions, third-party network failures or circumstances beyond reasonable control. This clause does not restrict liability or consumer remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
16. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be amended when necessary to reflect changes in the website, subscriptions, legal requirements or operating procedures. The latest version will be published on this page together with its updated date. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or registered contact details where appropriate.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be dealt with in accordance with applicable Indian law and the jurisdiction available to the consumer or the parties under applicable law. Nothing in these Terms prevents an eligible consumer from approaching a competent Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission or other statutory authority.
