This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to subscription payments made through suviseshadoothan.com.
Because Suvisesha Doothan provides digital subscription access that may become available immediately after successful payment, refund eligibility depends on the circumstances described below.
1. Successful Subscription Payments
Once payment has been successfully completed and digital publication access has been activated, subscription fees are normally non-refundable for a simple change of mind, failure to use the subscription or voluntary discontinuation of use.
This does not affect any refund or remedy that must be provided under applicable Indian consumer law.
2. Eligible Refund Situations
A refund may be considered where a payment has been debited more than once for the same subscription, payment was successfully received but the subscription was not activated and the issue cannot reasonably be corrected, an incorrect amount was charged because of a system error, the transaction was confirmed by us but the purchased service cannot be supplied, or a refund is otherwise required under applicable law.
3. Failed or Pending Transactions
Where your bank or payment provider debits an amount but the transaction is shown as failed or pending on our website, first allow the payment provider’s normal reconciliation period.
In many failed transactions, the bank or payment gateway automatically reverses the amount without Suvisesha Doothan receiving the funds.
If the amount is not reversed within the period advised by your bank or payment provider, contact us with the payment reference.
4. Duplicate Payments
Verified duplicate payments for the same subscription may be refunded to the original payment method after transaction verification.
5. Digital Content Already Accessed
Where subscription access has been correctly activated and the subscriber has accessed protected digital publications, a refund will generally not be available solely because the subscriber later decides not to continue using the service.
This restriction does not override any mandatory statutory consumer right.
6. Cancellation
A subscriber may stop using the service at any time.
Cancellation does not ordinarily create a right to a partial refund for an already activated subscription period unless expressly provided by us or required by applicable law.
If recurring or automatic renewal is offered in the future, the applicable renewal and cancellation conditions will be clearly disclosed before the user agrees to such a facility.
7. How to Request a Refund
For an eligible refund request, email:
Please provide your registered name, registered email address, payment date, amount paid, transaction/payment reference and a brief description of the issue.
Do not send complete debit-card numbers, credit-card numbers, CVV numbers, OTPs, passwords or banking passwords by email.
8. Refund Processing Time
Once a refund has been approved, we will initiate it to the original payment method wherever reasonably possible.
The amount may take approximately 5–10 business days after initiation to appear in the customer’s bank or payment account, depending on the bank, payment gateway and payment method.
Actual banking timelines are outside our direct control.
9. Refund to Original Payment Method
Refunds will normally be made to the original source of payment.
Alternative refund arrangements may be used only where technically necessary, legally permissible and appropriately verified.
10. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe a transaction is incorrect, please contact us first so that we can investigate it.
Fraudulent or knowingly false chargeback claims may result in restriction of the associated account, subject to applicable law.
11. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes, limits or waives any statutory rights or remedies available to consumers under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the applicable Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules or other applicable Indian law. The Department of Consumer Affairs specifically identifies return/refund information, payment methods and grievance-redressal information among the matters e-commerce entities must disclose to consumers.
